Joanna was born into a family that was very keen on riding and has been riding from almost before she could walk, trying to keep up with her brothers and sister.

She always had great confidence on her ponies and a great feel. She could get them to try hard for her. She had great success with her mounts at Pony Club representing the District at the Cambridge Pony Club Show Jumping Champs. One year she won 2 classes and placed in the other two - she was only 12. She also rode for Waitemata Rodney Area at the Pony Club Champs in the DC coming 3rd at Masterton. She placed in many Equestrian Federation Eventing and Show Jumping classes, riding in the Intermediate Horse Trials and SJ up to 1.30. Joanna has her B certificate and was selected for the Interpacific Pony Club team and went to Hong Kong and China.

Destined for great things if she continued! She gave up riding at 18 and had a break for 7 years. However, since then she has been right back into it again, always getting good placings in Amateur Classes and Pro Am at SJ.

Joanna has been great at training up horses and ponies, bringing them on from the start. She has great hands and a really good feel for her mount. She is currently bringing on two 6 year olds.

As well as all that, she is helping her own children who have a passion for riding especially  jumping. Abi and Cooper have great goals and are both out competing at competitions from 1.00 and over with great success.
